The exhibition at la Patinoire Royale | Galerie Valerie Bach entitled 'Ce mouvement qui deplace les lignes' brings together the works of artists belonging to the movement of kinetic art: Roger Vilder, Pol Bury and LAb[au]. Three artists corresponding to three generations, illustrating the endurance of this artistic movement throughout the 20th century - until today.
LAb[au]'s participation focuses on the notion of the monochrome.
Pol Bury (1922-2005), a Belgian artist of international reputation, is one of the major actors of kinetic art, present since 1955 alongside Yaacov Agam, Jesus-Rafael Soto and Jean Tinguely in the exhibition "Le Mouvement", curated by Pontus Hulten, which took place at the Denise Rene Gallery in Paris.
Roger Vilder, a French-Canadian born in 1938, began showing his work in the second half of the 1960's in the best galleries in New York, Montreal and Toronto, immediately taking part in major international events that marked the history of kinetic art, such as the one at the Hayward Gallery in London in 1970 entitled "Kinetics".
